Yes. You should lay off the weed. Good luck with your racing career. You should think about reconsidering. Have you considered an exciting career in cutlery sales?

If you have never done drugs then how did you end up like this?

Green is hella smart. Here is my .02. Just build something you can race in TREC. Here is my logic on this. You will build your vehical and take it out and have fun here and there, but there are rules inside parks which might prevent you from mashing the gas and using what you have built to its full potential. By that point in time you will need some new "adrenaline rush" and be looking at racing and spending more money on different parts, or possibly an entirely new build so you can race. I would listen to what some of the people in here say. Hosejockey and grassman know their shit when it comes to TREC

Or you could quit being a pussy and go CORR racing. Your decision.

This was an SCCA pro rally 10 years ago.. Maybe you could slap together something like this for $5k.

A CORR truck, no way.

So what are the used 31s and cheap coilovers going to do to make the rest of that stock 2wd suspension go fast over bumps?

There was an S10 racing in the Lake Superior Pro Rally several years in a row in the mid 2000s. It had a V8 swap, had well over $5k into it, and still didn't do well. That's the only thing I'll add to this thread, now it can go back to the ignorant vs sarcastic pissing match

You could build coilovers from a shock and a set of xj springs for cheaper than a $1000...and just because hosemonkey runs a few TREC races doesn't make him an expert, nor is he a good driver. Ask him how many times his motor has fallen out? I have never dropped a motor out in any of the TREC races I ran, although I did break a trans out and took out an oil cooler that made a James Bond smoke screen while I plugged up the trail for have the race. Green is not, I repeat not hella smart, some of the shit I've seen him do would disqualify him from the special Olympics.

I am pretty sure that was the janitor or maintainance guy from from my highschool. Mike something. He used to bring his race jeep to schol every now and then. I might be rong.

Rollin cola, maybe you should take Hanchos advice. Have you considered racing mini bikes in Rally? I mean Rally Cross?
