Default My new boat is pretty cool.

I just picked up a 1988 Seebold Eagle. Its a 21' closed bow with a 5.7 Mercury and an Alpha One out drive. Its all original and pretty freaking awesome. The gel coat is pretty burnt and I am going to work on that before it goes in the water. It needs new trailer tires and the trailer brakes do not work so I also have some work to do there. The floor is solid and the interior is mint!

You can call this kind of a build thread if you want. I will post some pics with how the gel coat turns out when I am done with it.

Here is a few pics I got yesterday when I picked the boat up.

Very nice, should see high 50's with that power setup!

I just sold my Scarab, gonna be a looong summer without a boat, but I'll be going bigger next year!

The motor is completely stock including the quadra junk carb so it should not be too terrible on gas. We will see when the weather breaks. I can't wait to get it out.
I was told this is a 65mph boat. I will let you know...

As much as people dog it, a Quadrajet works great on these boats. My Scarab had a 350Mag / Alpha setup bone stock and it worked great!

With a good prop I could see 65 for sure.

Thanks. I have a few updates here.

The first one is the swim platforms before and after some oil. It turned out OK but was still very ruff and after it dried out alittle I realized I needed to sand them a bit deeper. So the next pic is after some sanding and a few coats of oil.

This boat had very bad sunburn to the gel coat on the bottom where its red and the water line is. I got some 3M restore buffing compound and went to work. I am very happy with the results so far. I just have ALOT more boat to do.
