I really wish I gambled last year. It has stayed stagnant since I bought in. That said, I bought so little it doesn't make a difference

Been mining Dogecoin and converting it to Litecoin every few hours or so. Working well for me so far. Been making about $35/day in profit. Not too shabby.

I think our hash rate is right about 2900. When we started with dogecoin we were making about $50/day in profit, its down to about $30/day now.

I am going to be watching some other coins pretty close now to see if its time to start mining another coin, there are a few coins that are paying out higher than Dogecoin lately but they seem to fall apart pretty quickly.

Are you sure you're making $30/day? Or are you just getting really lucky as an independent miner and hitting blocks like crazy?

2900 Hash
820W of consumption
$00.15712 / KW hour

Doge = $9.17 per 24 hours, - $3.09 in power = $6.08 profit per day

We could be getting lucky, I am not sure. In the last 7 days I have accumulated 11 LTC in my wallet. It's been consistent with 1-2 LTC/day

Are you in a pool?

I'm just trying to figure out how you are making 500% more than what math says you can make.

Are you sure you're only running three cards, and not 15 cards?

Back on topic with Bitcoin. I have been watching the fall of the company that was many people's first means of trading. Mt. Gox.

RIP GOX!

https://www.mtgox.com/press_release_20140207.html

Statement Regarding BTC Withdrawal Delays

Tokyo - JAPAN - February 07, 2014

Dear MtGox Customers,

In our efforts to resolve the issue being encountered by various bitcoin withdrawals, it was determined that the increase in the flow of withdrawal requests has hindered our efforts on a technical level. To understand the issue thoroughly, the system needs to be in a static state.

In order for our team to resolve the withdrawal issue it is necessary for a temporarily pause on all withdrawal requests to obtain a clear technical view of the current processes.

We apologize for the sudden short notice. All bitcoin withdrawal requests will be on pause, and the withdrawals in the system will be returned to your MtGox wallet and can be reinitiated once the issue is resolved. The trading platform will perform as usual for the needs of our customers.

Our team will resolve this problem as soon as possible and will provide an update on Monday, February 10, 2014 (JST).

We deeply apologize for the inconvenience caused, and thank you for your kind support and considerations.

Sincerely,

The MtGox Team

I'm pretty sure we are in a pool, I know we were when we were mining litecoin. Idk if I am doing something wrong but I get larger profit than you are calculating. Right now I see $20/day profit but price per BTC has gone down since yesterday and difficulty went up.

Not only is BTC going to be fine today, but once gox either reopens to allow withdrawals, or completely closes down, BTC should skyrocket.

BTC has survived a ban from china, a ban from russia, countless exchanges being shut down, and now the failure of the most famous (but not the most popular) exchange ever. ..

All of these videos of people destroying their apple products on youtube is generating a huge ad for crypto currency. Some of those videos are receiving upwards of 20,000 views an hour.

CNN has a story on their website about the price being down.

a 3% price drop is nothing in BTC!

This is the first day EVER that Mt Gox's price is under BTC-E's price.
