When you sign up with sites like CoinBase you can put in your banking information to withdraw money to purchase bitcoin. You sell your bitcoin on an exchange like BTC-e for real dollars that are in your wallet and then you can deposit them into your bank account.

Let's say you own 100 shares of ford for $5 per share. Do you really have $500? Or do you have a piece of paper that can be sold for $500 at that specific time?

I just created a "wallet" for bitcoins, it gave a retrieval code that I was able to print out and file away for safe keeping, if I somehow lost my electronic wallet, I believe I could use that paper info to retrieve my electronic wallet.

I did the same thing. There are just lots of terms I am not familiar with and feel definitely out of my element.

I get the concept, but the specifics make me dizzy.

I am so fucking poor right now and knowing what I know now I would have more money than I have ever had. I started drinking again.

You keep talking about drinking. How much money have you spent on alcohol in the last 2-3 months? Might be worth it to quit drinking and start investing.

Just made my first business transaction for BTC. Received just over $13,000 for one sale. It is 100% guaranteed as not fraud, and ZERO transaction fees.

No, I owe a % share of a brick and mortar business that builds material products and has validated assets.

Yes, I retired wednesday of september.

In all honesty, that is the most stupid question I can think of. I know people who are worth tens of millions of dollars who still work. What does the amount of money somebody has in their account have to do with them working or not?

Most of the "retired" people I know are poor. Most of the rich people I know still work.

If I had $10,000 in BTC, I wouldn't be retired. If I had $10,000,000 in BTC, I wouldn't be retired. Not sure about you, but I go crazy without having a purpose in life. Even after five days of vacation I can't wait to get back to work.
