Won't fit in the CJ easily, however. The J truck T18 has a much longer inut shaft than the CJ T18

thanks adam. i am looking for this tranny, but in a cj version. i need a tranny with a shorter input shaft like cooter said, so it would work in my CJ

Input shaft length is maybe 4", does not have any spacers between bell housing and tranny... This concidered short. I believe the tranny's that came behind the V8 had the longer inputs, and spacers.

This one would work on your CJ.

I don't have any pics of it. It's your basic transmission, has not been cleaned, freshly pulled and sitting in the garage ever since. No california spray paint clean job on this one.

I'd love to see a picture as well- my info is from Novak\\\\\\\\\\'s Knowledge Base, and I can't remember the last time it steered me wrong. If it is incorrect in this instance, I'd like to know.

I have been getting information similar to the Seller's claim on ISFJA lately. A picture would really be helpful, though.

One of these was just being done on ECJ5... IIRC he took it to a machine shop and had the input cut down and re-splined on the cheap to go in a CJ5

pics still would be nice though, long drive to get there and find out it might not be a T18, pics of the casting numbers etc would be nice too

I only say this because It sucks to drive a ways to get something and it isn't as descibed --- I have had it happen to me.
