? on rosi 22 410 combo

Any one know about them? I am looking at the youth for my son. He is 10 and it looks like a decent rifle without having to dump a lot of cash for something he will out grow in a few years? Any ideas on it?

I bought the plastic stocked .22/.410 for my 9yr old son for x-mas. As far as fit & finish it's kind of clunky when broke open, but locked up it's a solid gun. It shoots really good w/the .22 barrel. It's a pretty fun gun to shoot actually, I couldn't put it down after I dialed it in lol. The .410 has a modified choked barrel which limits your slug choices if you wanted to throw some slugs through it, the barrel itself is kind of thin but you can find slugs for the modified choke, you just have to search a little for them. Overall I think it's a great beginner gun. I stayed away from the .243/.20ga because the gun is really light and my son is on the smaller size for his age group, I didn't want the recoil to scare him away from shooting.

If you want to train him on a Smith and Wesson M&P15-22 or a Sig Mosquito .22LR just let me know and we'll set up a day to hit the range. Bring the ammo and I'll bring the firearms free of charge.
