Default Best rewards credit card?

I have PNC and loved their PNC points but they discontinued the program. It was great getting $300 - $400 a year in gift cards with their points programs just for buying shit I was going to buy anyway.

I make everyday purchases - gas, bondage gear, groceries, porn, fleshlights, online shopping. I am looking for rewards such as gift cards and not so much travel or anything else.

Interest rates on the card do not matter so much as I will be paying it off each month.

My current plan, which I just started is a combination of Chase Freedom and Chase Amazon.

Freedom for the revolving quarterly category.
Amazon for everything else.

And of course, like you said, the key is to pay them off and not carry a balance otherwise the interest will quickly negate any savings you get.

Amex Blue Cash. 5% CB on fuel and groceries, 1% back on everything else as long as you spend $6500 per year on it.

use discover for most everything. there is 5% cash back on some things. It changes every few months. 1% on everything else. You can pick gift cards, a check, apply it to your balance or now even use it as cash at amazon.com. we also use amazon card to get bonus stuff when buying from amazon.com.

I use Cabelas (points for toys) and Amex Delta (miles, free bags, preferred boarding, annual free companion fare, and cheap drinks onboard).

X eleventyjillion to avoiding interest...

FTFY

Chase Freedom rotates every 3 months. Like next month is restraunts, Lowes, something else...not sure exactly, then one period will be gas and a couple things, the period right before Xmas is Amazon, etc...

It's all on their site if you need more info.

for people who can't handle paying off the card every month you are correct,
for those who can, there can be some good deals.

I pay all my utility bills and gas with mine, and pay it off each month so I never pay interest. I'm earning about $400/year off the CB on things I would be paying anyways.

I have Chase freedom.

I will have to look into that American express card for gas at 5% year round, otherwise I thought capital one did 3% year round (better than nothing). I wanted to get one with better cash back for gas year round anyways.

I do not keep a balance.

Ok the Amazon card was a no-brainer for me. I should have 6 million amazon points in no time.

The Chase Freedom is offering $100 cash back so I will probably sign up for that one as well. You just have to spend $500 in the first three months. That's a tank of gas and a quality blow-up doll until I hit my goal.

Damn these card companies are just giving money away.

I'm in the same boat. Its astounding how much I've bought from Amazon since becoming a prime member back in April.

The only thing I don't like is it seems like I may need to print out a quick reference manual for which card to use where and when....for the wife. My jew prowess gives me instant best deal radar.
