Smile I'm glad I took my camera to work Friday! =)

There were three adults and two "babies" on the lake that day.
Its kinds funny how these guys let the gulls and crows bully them.

Thanks guys!
I get the chills every time I see them out on that lake.
I'm not sure how many are in that area, but seeing 3 adult and two babies in a day is way more than I would have ever expected to see in such a heavily populated area. The Muskegon County airport is is the far end of that small lake, which makes it even weirder to me.

Looks like I might be a neighbor. Second interview up there in Norton shores in less than a week. I just hope they move as fast on an offer :)

This is a pretty cool place to live.
Lots to do and see, I think you'll like it here.
Good luck to you with the job!

I love spying birds of prey. Especially Eagles, but have never seen more than one at a time. If its a murder of crows whats the term for a group of Eagles?Great photos, thanks for posting.

A group of eagles may be called one of three things, Aerie, Convocation or Brood.

It is interesting how they are out so much this time of year. I seen 47 last year about this time all at once. Plus or minus cause it was hard keeping them all straight as they were spread out across the ice on the lake. Seeing a few this year 4 -6 at a time so far.

I read an article a couple of years ago about how they are living in more populated areas since they have made a comeback. Those are some great pictures. I miss Norton Shores.

Which type of "Chicken Hawk" would these be? Coopers, Red Tails or Sharp-shinned?
