Default 92 chevy 350 tpi runs like crap

it runs like crap when warm if i unploug the coolint temp it runs a little better did a tune up yesterday still runs the same when its cold it runs great

1: 92 what in a what?
2:Background just started it or ?
3: I think you get the idea.

I put a 91 tbi in my 84 cj7 with a 350. Timing caused me a lot of problems.

92 chevy 1500 350 tip just did a tune up started about a week ago seems like its runing rich it blows black smoke

Ok did it run better before the tune up? Did the tune up fix anything? I ask because you did the tune up for a reason.

it was runing like this so i though it needed one so i give it one and didnt make a diffrence its loading up and when u rev it up it blows black smoke

Ok have checked for codes? My first thoughts are open loop that why Toyfish said collant sensor.

There are too many things that could cause that. A leaky injector, a plugged return line, a bad temp sensor, the list could go on. Are there any codes being thrown? The best first step would be to hook up to a reader and see what the sensors are doing. If the engine is warmed up and the temp sensor reads -42*F, you have a bad Temp Sensor. If it is normal, look at the O2 reading and see if it shows a rich condition (which you have), if it does not - you may have a bad O2 sensor. If the sensors check out, you either have an injector that is leaking down fuel, or your pressure is too high causing the injectors to spray too much fuel. If a return line is plugged, the only path the fuel has is to spray out the injectors.

Change the pig tail that plugs into the coolant temp sensor they have had problem's with them i would bet it would take care of your problem.

changed the idle air didnt make a diffrence on my way to the parts store now for a coolint tamp
