Default XDs 9

Does anybody have any scoop on when these should be available? I'm really wanting a single stack 9 with Glock characteristics and this would be the closest I can find. Everyone loves the XDs 45, I want to try the 9. But, if they don't ever hit the shelves, I'll just get the 45.

When are they going to be available?

Why you want A glock style single stack so bad, it still won't be a glock, so why not just buy a nice 9mm single stack that feels and shoots nice.

I couldn't be more excited about the XDs 9mm.

No mag disconnect
No active safety
Good trigger
Good trigger reset
No internal lock
Etc, etc.

I love my XDs .45 as well. Shot great right out of the box. Comfortable to shoot, and comfortable to carry. I'll be looking into a 9 for the wife when they hit the shelves.

I too am waiting for this gun. I have fondled the 45 a few times and like how it fits.

Not sure why every one is waiting for the 9mm version. I'd bet anyone here and your wives would enjoy shooting the .45 version more than the 9mm.

Several reasons:

Short barreled .45s leave something to be desired for me ballistically.

I gain 2 rounds of capacity, and since all handgun rounds basically suck at stopping people, I'd rather have the extra couple of rounds.

I shoot my carry guns in competition regularly, and I have a good stock of 9mm match ammo.

I also have a lot of 9mm defense loads on hand. Around here, the big Police Departments carry .45s so finding .45 defense loads locally is tough because it gets scrounged up by local officers quicker than 9mm.

When people say this it always makes me laugh...no gun is comfortable to carry, that's like saying, I really like the way this small brick feels in my waistband.
