Default what fits best

alright well unfortunately, my last attempt to buy a raider fell threw.

but good news is that i found another one.

but the issue with this one is that, apparently it was ran out of oil and the oil pump crapped out and now it needs a head (top end). the guy was not very descriptive on that.

so what i am wondering is since this has happened, if i just have to replace all the gaskets or if i need to replace the cylinder head (block) and all the other components!!??
by the way this is the 2.6L 4 cylinder 5 speed

or if i will have better luck finding another engine that fits from another car with the same engine which i know the couple of cars.

but i was wondering if... there was another engine that has a little higher of output. sounds cheesy but i mean hey whats wrong with a little more horses but that can still take a hill with a little flexing. that the engine bolts right up with no issue with no fab work. (straight swap)

please get back to me ASAP i dont want this deal to fall threw too
please and thank you

If the oil pump crapped out you need more then just the top end, you will need a new engine as the crank bearings are probably shot.

ok so af26yrs, well then i will look for another engine.

but its kind of slim picking for the engine that is stock for raider. so is there another engine that is a straight drop in with a little more power?

Straight drop in, not sure, but for simplicity and decent power a 4.3 Chevy would be nice, easy to fab up mounts, parts available everywhere and decent mileage. A engine to trans adapter would be required at least, if one is even available, otherwise you'd be looking at a trans and transfercase swap.
