The article I read said they confinscate between 50-100 per day at many of the large airports. They said its a waste of the TSA peoples time, so now they are going to allow them to help the lines mosve faster.

I asked since when is it mandatory in the United States that a citizen must disclose why they are traveling from state to state within the country. It netted me 15 minutes of delay and 2 pat downs. It was fun. They even found explosives on my hands but ironically not on the handle of my briefcase or duffle bag. Tell me how that works.
After that I am sure you are now on a special list. Actually I think last time I flew out of Baltimore I had a 12 second pat down but no questioning. I think I did something else wrong too like putting electronics in a tub with non electronics??? they brought me another tub in line.

It's gonna take more than one knife with a 2 1/2" blade to pry open the door he's locked behind.

Tough shit. There is no law within the United States that says I, as a citizen must disclose where I am going, or why. I refused to answer. The whole process was a joke. I asked them why they needed to know. They said cuz. I asked them in what way my answer would be that would make me more of a threat. They couldn't answer me. The first thing the lady did was look at my boarding pass and then her watch to determine how long they could detain me. After I passed all screening and my pat down, they decided I needed another pat down. Why? Because they were trying to make me rush to catch my plane to teach me a lesson. Guess what, it taught me to be sure to be early for the next round. So, after a full body screening and a full body pat down and a scan with a hand wand, why in the world would they need to pat me down again? Stupid.

I'm all for screening that makes sense. Asking me dumb questions that are easy to lie about add nothing to security.

It's an illusion of security.
