Angry Rear running lights quit working!!!

Last night was not mucho fun. Rear running lights of my truck went out. 2000 k3500 OBS former plow whore.
Fuse is good, front running lights work, and switching them on also lights up the dash. Trailer running lights also went on vacation during this incident. Didn't have a test light to probe the harness last night. Unplugged the trailer, still no rear running lights.

Anyone ever experience this in an 88-98 GM truck?

First thing I would look at is the point where the trailer wireing is tied into the harness.

Check the 7 pin inside for the mean green Klumper. My old truck used to do it all the time. Or the complete oppisite the running lights would just stick on.

All fixed! Started out with corroded/failed/disintegrated crimp connector at the trailer hookup, and somehow the wire at the leaf spring hanger got pinched and broke off, even though it was still wrapped up in the frame.
Lots of soldering last night!

Passenger side window also managed to pop out of the tracks over the weekend... no damage, rot, or bends.... too much fun? nahhhhhhh. It's nice having access to a heated shop to fix broken shit!
