Default Looking for input-trans and tcase options

Looking to swap a 5.0 from a 97 explorer into a tj. If I use the explorer trans, what tcase bolts to it? It was full time awd before. Or go with a c4 or c6? Thinking it will be used for dd/trail use when finished. I want to do a 2" lift and highfender conversion. Thanks.

Its the same basic trans as the aod and aode found in broncos and f150s. I replaced my awd case with a 4406 from a 97-03 f150. But 205s, 1356s etc will bolt up. I chose the 4406 because it was lighter and offered a much better low range then a 205, and it was narrow enough to fit in the frame rails.

My wife and i both have 98 explorers with 5.0Ls and i converted both using the 4406.

Thanks. I will check into those. I would like manual shifting and the ability to install a sye.

I have aod/203/205 in my jeep but the case cheapthrills suggested or a np208 would work and certain models had a fixed rear output from the factory so no sye required

Yeah. I just saw a 1356 on here that looks like it would work.
