makes sense, buy an f-150 er sumthn for the wife when you get there instead of a small car, you'll have the work truck, she'll have the fam truck that can tug your toy around wherever you want. Keep it simple. Trying to double trailer across the country just sounds like a pain in the ass when used trucks are everywhere and relatively cheap. To double it you'll have to use a pretty small 5th wheel trailer to keep it legal length in comparison to the interior size of a motorhome.

On our trip to KOH I noted a sign that said something like "all vehicles over xxxx wt and all tow bar vehicles must stop". I don't really know what that meant because we didn't stop. LOL But, it made me think that all rigs, commercial or private were supposed to stop. The part that got my attention was the tow bar statement as we will be towing my truck on a tow bar this summer.

For the intended purpose, I think Tonka has the best setup. Although the weight of the trail rig and tandem trailer seems light.
I don't see the benefit of the toter home for Chad's intended purpose. He's not looking to be on the move every week and putting tons of miles on his rig. He's more likely to travel to a destination and stay there for several weeks at a time. Therefore, comfy living is more important. For traveling to comps every week & towing heavy loads through the mountains, yes.
For recreation camping & traveling, we've weighed out all the options & like the motorhome. One of the biggest reasons is that if we are not towing a toy behind, it is shorter and completely self contained.
