Default Steering Question!

Hi again!
I have an 01 XJ with 5'' of lift. I'm running factory steering and it all needs to be replaced including the box. It does have a locker in the front. What do you guys recommend as far as far as aftermarket or home brew steering? Would you do the zj set up? 1-ton steering? Rustys? Opinions?!
Thanks! :)

Thanks, can do the work. Just need to know what parts to buy. So you have the Durango steering? I read that on the Jeep forum, so I'm keeping that in mind.

DD/trail only status and tire size are all factors. Need more info. I had the ZJ setup at one point.
Waste of money as the upgrade is minimal. Rusty's make me cringe.

It is my daily driver and it is on 33x10.50x15. I do a moderate amount of wheeling. Probably 1-2 times a month. Anything else?

1Ton over the knuckle ftw. Buy it or make it. Rock auto has all the tie rods for about $50 shipped

avoid the rustys at all costs!

for 10/33's the durango box and zj tierod could work well for a while.
any stock box will be stressed when used with a front locker.

hydro assist would be the best/most expensive option.

I agree with this. My brother and another wheeling buddy had the one ton setup with stock box and 33/12.50 without issue. Eventually my brother upgraded to the Durango box, big improvement. Super easy to make this kit yourself, just need the correct reemer for the knuckles.
