Default Ammo

DPH in the last years has bought over 2 billion rounds of ammo and the rest is being bought up in panic by the public

I just got one of those myself. I just happen to see it sitting in one of the stores I call on and bought it. They said they got it that morning and were shocked that it even showed up.

Went to Guns Galore today with my buddy and they are selling 100 rounds for 9mm for $70! Fuck that!

Anyone been to Williams lately? I was looking on their website today and I only see one used 12ga in stock!? Is this true?

I was in the Williams in auburn yesterday and could not believe all the guns they had. Ar's, ak's, lots of rifles, lots of shotguns, and more pistols than I've seen in a long time. And I stop at a shitload of gun shops. Their ammo situation was like everyone's else's though. Pistol, rifle, and shotgun prices were decent too but the ar and ak prices were very, very, stupid. Like $2500 for a colt m4 stupid. They did have a few .308 ar's too but I don't know if their price was high or not on those.

140 boxes of 525rds of 22lr gone in just hours today. People bitching that they could only buy one.

Feel free to go ANYWHERE else and find some, and not pay more than $22.

Getting pretty sick of this BS.

I'd put a sign on the door "If you complain about only being able to buy one box of ammo, you will be asked to leave and not be able to purchase your one box"

Don't blame the people who are trying to stock up. Blame the assholes in Washington who created this mess.

No one to thank other than ammo hoarders for that. There is no real reason for any of this. Ammo is coming and going in record numbers. If everyone would calm down, there would be NO shortage.

Exactly. They haven't changed their production volumes at all - except to maybe increase certain calibers, and ignore some more rare stuff they run on the same presses.

The following guns and ammo industry report indicates that every major gun and ammunition manufacturer in the country is running at 100% capacity, with many so far behind that they’ve stopped taking new orders altogether.

Smith & Wesson-is running at Full capacity making 300+ guns/day-mainly M&P pistols. They are unable to produce any more guns to help with the shortages.

RUGER: Plans to increase from 75% to 100% in the next 90 days.

FNH: Moving from 50% production to 75% by Feb 1st and 100% by March 1. Remington-Maxed out!

Armalite: Maxed out.

DPMS: Can’t get enough parts to produce any more product.

COLT: Production runs increasing weekly…bottle necked by Bolt carrier’s.

LWRC:Making only black guns, running at full capacity…can’t get enough gun quality steel to make barrels.

Springfield Armory: Only company who can meet demand but are running 30-45 days behind.

AMMO: Every caliber is now Allocated! We are looking at a nation wide shortage of all calibers over the next 9 months. All plants are producing as much ammo as possible w/ of 1 BILLION rounds produced weekly. Most is military followed by L.E. and civilians are third in line.

MAGPUL is behind 1 MILLION mags, do not expect any large quantities of magpul anytime soon.

RELOADERS… ALL Remington, Winchester, CCI & Federal primers are going to ammo FIRST. There are no extra’s for reloading purposes… it could be 6-9 months before things get caught up. Sorry for the bleak news, but now we know what to expect in the coming months. Stay tuned, we’ll keep you posted…

I got screwed out of a 250rd value pack of Rem UMC 9mm at Dunham's near Lapeer - some douche cut ahead of me by grabbing an associate while I was waiting patiently at the counter, and I didn't feel like arguing. They also had a 40 S&W value pack. I saw .38 Special quite a few places.

William's Gun Sight had some 9mm last time I was in there.

Peter's Indoor Gun Range has some 9mm, but will only sell if you purchase range time, and the price is inflated...

A lot of other shops have it, but will only sell you 1 50rd box, and may include range time as a pre-req.

Looks to me like ammo's starting to come around a little bit. Try to avoid paying those who are going to the extreme end of gouging - I've seen people asking for $.50/rd for 9mm range ammo (WWB, UMC). It's available for less, you just have to be diligent. I managed to get some 9mm for $.34/rd last night.
