Default Reloading is so easy why don't you do it?

Well a while back I made the mistake of starting a thread about a re-loader I was buying in the wrong section and was scolded appropriately But anyways I ended up buying a lee single stage press for $27, brass tumbler for $45, lee 2 cavity bullet mold for $24, Lee 40s&w carbide dies for $90+, Hornady digital scale for $50 and a lee hand priming tool for $35. I figured after the first 700 rounds everything should be paid for. About 2000 rounds later I did the math on how much I saved; I payed $15 per 1000 primer $18.50 for 1lb of accurate #2 and i cast my own bullets using lead given to me by a local Midas. primers are $0.015 each, 5 grains of accurate #2 $0.0132 and bullets are free. That's 0.0282 per round not including the bullet lube. Last I checked 40 s&w is around 37 cents per round; I made 2000 for $56.4 a savings of $683.6 So why are you not reloading?

Ebay is your best friend for buying a press
Just looked at single stage presses on ebey the price has gone up on them but $40 bucks still isn't that bad when you consider the savings.

I got my 40 for .23/round and bought a lot. If prices dont come down, I may look into the reloading.

23 cents isn't that bad Dunhams in ludington and Manistee have killed my pockets in the past so I just started reloading. Currently cranking out .223 for around 26 cents each.

I'm too lazy and make enough $$ that I just buy the expensive stuff to shoot at paper. People freak out when you target shoot with premium ammo.

J/k but I am to lazy to do this.

I'm into competitive shooting with my friends and would spend $300 in one weekend so turning to reloading was the best choice.

I don't shoot that much, so spending $40 on ammo isn't a big deal. It's much cheaper than a strip club.

Just have a lot of ammo to last me a while right now. I've been saving my brass, as I do plan on getting into reloading within the next year.

Good idea I didn't save any of my brass before I started reloading so I had to go dig it out of my gun range which took forever. I highly recommend going to a few local auto shops and seeing if you can take their wheel weights and get a good stock pile going. Most shops will ask 5 bucks for a bucket full but that's not that bad considering the lead already has 0.5% tin and 5% antimony which is perfect for supersonic rounds.

Sorry I'm confused too. I'm going to change the subject to avoid looking like a retard. Man it needs to stop raining.
