Default truck rental

I'm looking to make a trip from Michigan to Tennessee on Thursday and will be back on Sunday . I need to haul a jeep down to a friend and need a truck to pull the trailer. Any ideas that won't brake the bank? Someone wanna rent me their truck lol.

In this thread the guy ended up renting a truck from enterprise.

Rented a 2012 Dodge Ram from enterprise. $80.

Gas was cheaper down south, but never paid over $3.40 a gallon. As low as $3.03 in TN.
avg of 19 mpg on the way down with empty trailer, and 17.5-18.5 on the way back with the tub.

Spent about $250 in gas. + rental. Brought my own food, stayed in a super 8 motel for $50. So, about $400 into the trip all said and done. Pretty much what I expected. I was satisfied, and it was something cool to do myself.

Now someone's going to tell me I could've shipped it for less, which isn't true.
If that kind of fight starts lol I'll just stop replying again. I saved around $350 vs shipping it, plus, as I said, I got to take a solo roadtrip, which I'd never done before.

So all in all, I think it was worth it. Apparently, the majority of those reading this thread are moneybags, and $350 wouldn't be worth it to them. It was to me though, especially when combined with the experience I gained, which is all that matters at the end of the day.

for those saying "ship it, it's cheaper" - they either ship enough to have solid relationships with their car shippers, or have the luck of the irish.

my inlaws have shipped cars to/from Florida during winter months with a couple of different "referred/reputable" carriers - each time has been a hassle, with last minute price changes and other hassles.

When we moved my dad back from missouri we rented a trailer to tow his car. They asked if we Wanted A van or truck to tow it with. We got the 24 foot van.

im having a harder time grasping the idea of all the shit you have . including an offroad park with a tj that needs to be trailered and your asking about renting a truck? how do you not have a vehicle with a towing capacity? ive seen your house, yard, barn. something is not adding up.
