Default Project " No fat chicks"

This is a 96 Cherokee Sport I bought off my elderly neighbor. It was a project I kind of fell into. I had cash and he was selling what I seen as a wheeling vehicle. I bought it in may of 2011 bone stock with 112,000 miles.

I was working full time driving back and forth to work weekly about an hour away. In Aug. i took it downstate To Woodward where I had my first repair... About 2 hrs into the trip I blew out my rear driveshaft U-joints. I proceeded to miss Woodward to fix the problem at a buddys house. Then while driving home my power steering pump blew apart. Sending "redneck glitter" and power steering fluid everywhere. After arriving home I fixed the problem and went from there. So after that it stayed stocked until about Oct. the suspension was shot and in need of repair. So having the friends I do, I was lured into a new "upgraded" suspension. Courtesy of college I now owned a new 4.5" Rough country lift with N2.0 shocks, adj. track bar, steering stabilizer and lots of work ahead of me.

This was the biggest nightmare of my life... this jeep was determined to stay stock... we ended up torching basically every bolt off and in the middle of this process i discovered a gas tank leak.... while we were torching... thank god nobody died that night. so after about a 16 hr night we finally had it lifted. take note we started at 9pm the previous day and it is sunny we she finally comes out.

First time out of the garage

Tinted the taillights and turn signals and updated the grill and some Ebay brand bushwackers

new walmart lights

new borrowed tread from buddy bc i bought the rims off him

Time to flex

Being impatient has its disadvantages as shown with me rolling stock tread. The lift was installed and the goodies came rolling in... Cut out fender flares, hood vents (yet to be installed) headlights replaced running lights, turn signals, dash, shifter and license plate lights with green smd's , H.I.D.'s, and rims and tires. I picked up a set of worn Mickey thompson baja mtz's 35x12.5x15 for 50$ and a used set of black D windows off a buddy for 80$ that made a substantial difference in the look as you can see
After awhile I got bored with it so I had to change it up... It didn't have a hitch so I had a buddy build me a new one with built in receiver... That looked kind of weird till we got bored again and decided it needed to be cut and folded... and paint, looks better now...

apparently the dana 30 shafts don't like 35's

I picked up a ford 8.8 for the rear awhile ago and just finally picked up some 4.10's for it from irishjeeper I had also picked up 4.10's for the front awhile ago. So after some looking around and needing to stick out I picked up a clear front diff cover and some purple gold aka royal purple for looks
wanted to head to twisted trails so put on a flag holder
Did a little looking around and found the dreaded clear gearz pic so I picked up a rough country diff guard to fix that problem...

went over to snopro91mi's house just to make sure im still taller

got a little bored and pull the doors off.

yotabalt's DD^^^hahaha

My brilliant friends convinced me to wheel doorless

Last week I picked up some Irok 36x13.5x16 on American racing rims for dirt cheap....

cleaned up real good

Tried out yotabalt's new groover looks a little better lol

6 hrs later and half a bucket of rubber the iroks are grooved and siped
Only problem they are 5x5 bolt pattern so im currently waiting on wheel adapters Bc a 16" rim is too expensive for me lol

it is now 2 weeks later and the guy that sent me my wheel adapters off ebay sent me the wrong f**king wheel adapters they are 5x4.75/5x135 not 5x4.5 like he listed... so i am rolling stock 235's once again until the new adpaters come in.

went to schuss mountain this last weekend and seen a rough country banner i wanted soooooo....
only bright spot of my last 2 weeks

Plastering your rig with ugly lights (headlights included) is spending money wisely?

Yea this is my first project so I haven't had much experimenting yet. But that clayton seems a little to pricey for the small amount of gain you get over an rc lift

i will say that clayton is very expensive but from what i've learned first hand is it's the quality, that clayton kit will out perform and ride 10x better than the RC lift. my CJ7 is my third and last jeep (so it'll be stupid expensive lol) if you were closer i'd help u out, i've owned 2 XJ's and love them, i can upload a few pics of mine if u want. don't wanna hijack your thread tho
