Default Looking to buy a handgun, don't know what to get please help

I am looking to get a handgun that I intend to use as a concealed carry. I know I want more of a medium frame. What do you guys suggest. I should also add that I would like a semi-auto. I'm thinking 9mm and I'm not trying to spend a fortune. I have never owned a handgun so I basically don't know s**t from shinola. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks

Whatever fits your hand well and that you shoot well.

For starters, look at Glock, S&W M&P series, and Springfield Armory XD series.

Well the first thing would be, how much are you looking to spend? There are a lot of options out there. Go to a gun store and look at all of the guns in your price range. They will let you hold them and more or less show you how to operate it. Then buy one that you like the feel of.

I do plan on heading to the local firearm retailer to see if I can get an idea on what fits my hand. That should make my decision a little easier

Right now you're probably going to have to visit a few retailers to hold an assortment of guns.

I have a sccy cpx-2. Kel tec knock off basically but has less recoil. Warranty follows the gun. I like it so far and it will be my carry gun once I take a class.

Partially depends on your size. If you're relativly small frame, or very slender, you'll want a smaller frame. If you're a little larger...

I pack a Springfield XD in .40 cal. and a Sig-Sauer 1911 in .45 both are great weapons. the XD is particulary nice to pack.

The trigger on that gun is even worse than a S&W Sigma.

This is your first, and only pistol? I'd recommend staying away from any of the micro pistols if so.

Something like a Glock 19 or 26, M&P 9c, or equivalent XD would be a good choice for a do it all carry/range pistol. They are big enough to learn on, but still easy enough to carry.

I am thinking about the m&p also. Lc9 seems too small. I want to check out the sig p250 too.

Stay away from the P250. That trigger is garbage.
