Default 89 range rover county

Any reason for me to pick it up? Any desirable parts on them? Supposedly have d44's

Underbody sounds rough, but has under 100k on it. Motor apparently runs and drives

Might be able to pick it up cheap from an old neighbor who would rather see it put to use than melted down.

I had a 92 Range Rover County LWV for a few months back around 2001 or 2002. I got rid of it because I was still in the Marines and suddenly got orders and didn't feel like dragging multiple vehicles around.

I cannot imagine there was too much difference between the 89s and the 92s. Mine had the air suspension but it was totally inactive. I didn't keep the vehicle long enough to figure out if it was worth fixing. All of the front wheel bearings on mine seemed to disintegrate at about the same time a few weeks after I got it. The gas mileage was absolutely horrible too. It was worse than my Grand Wagoneer.

On the plus side, the interior was huge and very comfortable and the driver's seat had a nice high vantage point. I liked driving it more than my Grand Wagoneer, but it was definitely not refined like you would expect a Range Rover to be.

Yeah, he told me $650... I don't really have a use for it. I could probably beat him down a bit if somebody on here wanted it.

I'm going to stop by and look at it since it is about two miles down the road

He says it is undriveable because of the amount of rust underneath, but he has turned into "one of them city boys" since I used to hang around him... back when I was 8 lol

I guess I'll be the judge of that

Unless you need parts off it, pass.
