Higher taxes will solve the problem.

Our government knows best. Doesn't matter the topic, whether it is guns, cars, farming, etc., they know more than the experts in those fields. Get with the program Dave.

No worries dave, there's a small airport near you on Marine City Highway that you can go and fill up with aviation fuel.

So how exactly are we going to hit the higher fuel economy standards when they keep pulling the potential energy out of the fuel? People aren't smart enough to realize that a gallon of E15 isn't going to go as far as a gallon of gas(E0).

CAFE standards are aimed at significantly decreasing the usage of the internal combustion engine, or atleast using the ICE as a parallel hybrid/generator. The govt doesn't care.

Not really.

Not to mention raising food prices.

Are you dumb? What post above makes you think that adding more ethanol is a good thing? Also, capitalization and punctuation are a good thing, they make you sound more intelligent than a 8 year old with a keyboard.

I'll debate that one if you really want to get into it (honestly I would rather not lol). But there are plenty of ways to produce ethanol without disturbing production output of farmers, many of which are tech driven and will be mainstream market within a pretty short period of time (especialy now that demand will increase).

But is that likely to happen or will food prices actually go up? I think food prices would go up first and then maybe what you say could happen. There have been processes available for years now but still not put to use for the masses.

there is almost limitless technology is pretty much any topic you can think of. The reason the technology is never "brought to the masses" is almost always as simple as a good business case of supply vs demand and ROI. Let me ask you this, do you think there is a shortage of cellulose based produce (both food grade, and feed grade) in America, or is it over-produced, or do we only produce what is required?

That being said, higher ethanol is going to F with my fuel cell foam and cylinder/bobber sending unit even more, which annoys me lol
