Default 03 taurus 3.0 sohc

car runs for 20 min then quits. no rich conditon new fuel pump and driver, no ses light. ideas? car does not lose spark. car is coming to me tommorow i am sure ill figure it out but seeing if anyone has had this issue.

Cam or crank sensor? Does one control Fuel Injectors?

does it restart right away? How do you get it to restart? pull the codes, there can becodes without a CEL (which I know you know, I'm just sayin lol)

no restart untill car sits 4+ hours. ill scan it for myself in the morning this is all from the owners info. we shall see ill report back

Check spark after it died and fuel pressure too.

Sound like coil pack get heat and dying.

your engine doesnt exist, they never put any SOHC engine in a taurus

8th vin of U is pushrod cam-in-block 3.0 vulcan family engine (OHV)
8th vin of S is a 24 valve dual over head cam (DOHC) duratec family engine

the engines are from two different engine families and share not one design feature in their architecture other then their metric displacement.
