Default Jeep Cherokee rear hatches (2), Westland, MI

I have two rear hatches that are no longer needed. One is from a 1992 (I believe), the other is from a 1996.

The 92, I stripped everything but the latch & lock mechanism and the hinges (those torx bolts SUCK!). PO cut them at the vehicle. I got one bolt out successfully with vice grips. You can probably get the others out the same way. Or drill them. The hatch has been rubbed down with scotch brite pads to prep it for painting. It is dark blue. I have the wiper motor and license plate light. No glass. You can take the wiper motor or license plate light (the wiring harness was cut when I got it. I can help you solder it if you're nearby and hate electrical). The rivets for the rubber bushings I drilled (I can rivet them back in if you need).

The 96 is red, has tinted (that is bubbly) glass, wiper motor (washer tube is broken, like on all of them), and window heater. Manual locks. I put a clevis shackle through the hatch near the license plate. If you like fiberglass, it's probably fixable. If you need glass, the glass is in good shape. If you need wiper motor, that works too. I will not part out the red one. I'm just not interested in putting more work into that hatch. I cut the wiring harness (because I'm an asshole, and the new one I got was cut, so I needed to do some soldering).

The deal is I will not ship. They can be picked up in Westland (or I work in Detroit, or will deliver within 20 minutes if you have a cool project I can get ideas from and gawk at). If you want parts off the 96, you have to take the whole hatch. I was going to use the blue one to replace the red one, when I found a red, with interior, lights working, motors, etc for a steal.

They're free, (delivery will be free, maybe cost you a beer) and I'm in Westland. If you drive more than 20 minutes to pick them up, I'll give you a beer (upon proof of you being 21. You can have a cool beard, a military ID, a driver's license, or a concealed carry permit. I accept any of those as evidence of your manly ability to consume alcohol.). I may haul you to a shooting range to evaluate your self defense skillz (prior to the beer of course...).
