Im sure they will raise price for orvs this year. Someone has to pay to maintaine the rollerblade paths that the snowmobiles usually pay for. They raised snowmobile trail permits to $45 a few yrs ago and that was the last straw for many people.

It's crazy to expect people to pay $45 per sled in a state that rarely has any snow to ride on. They dont groom when there is no snow, so where does all the money go?

I would have no problem paying more for a orv , if michigan had a trail a skilled driver couldnt wheel a cavelier down.

Holy crap that blows. What about out of state people that come to the dunes once a year. That's 45 for orv which is not the same as a state park sticker (the little thing on your tags now) that also needs to be had.

Being a Canadian, I have no problem paying whatever it costs to use any of the ORV trails in Michigan. I have used both the 50" and under on my WR, snowmobile trails in the UP, and recently the full size at snofari... We don't have the organized trail/route system in Canada that you have access to year round in Michigan. As far as I am concerned, your state and country for that matter knows how to do things like that right. The small price of $45 is nothing compared to the value you can get out of it. Keep up the good work Michigan....

ORV costs in other states are not much different than a new $45 cost for Michigan. I have no problem paying for an ORV, if the money is spent on keeping trails open or expanding trails.

If the 31 dollar difference is a deal breaker for those people they most likely can't afford the trip anyways.

Its the multiple stickers that some people buy that is the deal breaker. I went from $32.50 to $90. I was on-board for the hike to $30 until the signs that stated "this trail closed thanks to the orv sticker program" that popped up here.

Well IMO if the price goes up that much, we should see significant improvement on trails and public land (trimming of overgrown trails etc) If they are just jacking it up cuz they can, then I don't see why it's a good thing.

Where did you spend that much???

I've been paying $16.25 for years for orv. State parks only ten or so,

This is what sucks. Need one for my truck and my 3 quads. The extra price of the stickers is the same as the amount of money in fuel for one trip! So tha means I am going to lose out on a trip! I have no problems with this if the $$ is used to get the trails cleaned up. But its a government program so we all know that will never happen.

Bike and jeep. In a year or two I'm sure I will be adding a third sticker to that as well. Or maybe we will just stay off the public land.

Yes good point.

At silver lake, each toy u bring in needs state park and orv.

That's really gonna lower the amount of people coming out of state with a trailer of ten/fifteen quads and dirtbikes.
