gas grill advice?

Hey
looking to get a new gas grill for the spring. Would like to get something that will not go bad in 3 years like everyone i seem to buy(been getting charbroils). Any recommendations for one that will last and not break the bank?

Charcoal for when you have the time (weekends/get togethers, etc)

Natural Gas during the week, winter, foul weather.

I will never use propane again.

I use wood in the charcoal side. Nothing better than a wood fired steak.

What's better about Natural gas? I guess it really doesn't matter. I will never live where natural gas is available.

FWIW, I bought a charcoal only grille 5 years ago, I've never regretted it. Grilling is something I don't like to rush, If i'm in a hurry, I make the wife cook

It never runs out!

but it does have 1/2 the BTU of Propane, and is slow to heat up.

I have talked about switching over, but still use propane.

I got my first charcoal grill when I was 19. I am 29 now and I still have yet to buy a gas grill. Charcoal and/or wood is the only way I grill.

Ahh just keep a full grill tank around. It for those of you the burn propane for heat why not use your pig. Seems like if the only benefit of it is not running out its no advantage.

3 summers on my $100 ABC special and it works fine. I clean/power wash my grill 2-3 times each season. I believe that helps them last longer.

A small refrigerator and a hose you can fill your own grill tanks off your pig.

My house has natural gas, it never runs out, its cheaper than propane.

Propane tanks are a pita, even with a rotation of 3 I always end up with an empty tank and a half cooked steak, then there is the bouncing around in the truck on the way to the store, etc.

NG is overall just less hassle.

We sell Webers at work . The one on our deck right now I bought in 1998 . I run it on a 40 pound tank and will last three months or so grilling often. The wife fills propane at work so in the jeep and back the next night.

Edit to add I have a tin that I put smoker chips and water in that sets on the grates. It gives that wood flavor without the wait.
