Drilled and tapped the resi caps for shrader valves.

And then i cut some holes in my inner fenders

Then i took some measurments and went home and drew up some shock mounts. Sent the dxf files out to a shop this morning, should be back to me middle of next week.

Eastwoods Fast Etch. Comes in a gallon for $20 or so IIRC (haven't bought any in a while)

I need to spray all of my new additions with it and get some paint on everything.

Do you still need me to bend up the hoop for the shock mounts? I still have that chunk of tube here

No, but how long is that? I could come get it if it will fit in the sonic. I'd still like to make a cross bar and that might work out ok.

I figured that piece was long gone by now

So i am very pleased with my front setup. It works very well for what it is.

When i remove the huge tool box from the rear, it really made a big difference. So i know i will need to do some valving, as i like to carry all of those tools.

But here are just a few of my favorites of it this weekend for the big Dune party we hosted. It actually flexes pretty well i thought too, for a rig that i didnt build to do that at all...

Had a nice night alone in the shop. Greased every zerk I could find, took apart the slip yoke on the front driveshaft and cleaned it and finally put a boot on. Then installed an XJ shaft.

I got invited to an after dark longtravel run at the dunes in a few weeks (idk if that means i now own a long travel rig, or people wanna laugh as they pass me? lol).

So that finally motivated me to install my Sidetracked Offroad led pods. Wow that harness made it quick and easy to install
Not really my ideal position, but the harness is plenty long to allow them to be moved when i build a real front bumper.

Also, a guy has been trying to get me to buy these 30 spline 10factory chromos for like 2 years now. And i finally talked him down to a price of $200 shipped, spicer joints and full circle clips installed still new. Not that i need them, but for the price i figured its a good back up, or good candidate for another build.

Are you talking about going to the prerunner night run? Don't worry there will be all levels of trucks. More below.

Are those lights a long range beam or more of a close up flood light?

I've been trying to find something long range and at that price those may be the ticket.

thanks

why not put the pods in the grille next to the running lights. you are going to destroy them in that location.
