Yah I already dumped $1200 into the axle. I just wanted it in.

Plus I'm not sure if there are any disk setups that will clear my 15" wheels. The whole purpose of the semi float was to stay with my 6 lug 15" wheels.

Did you end up putting in shock absorbing bump stops? If so, which one did you go with? How were the results?

The air bumps? I did in the front. I went with some used fox 2.0s. I'll never buy used again though unless I saw them in person first. Guy said the shafts were perfect but they had a bunch of spots in them and you could see sand paper lines in it where he tried to make it look better.

Any ways they seem to work ok but I still only have like 8" travel shocks up front so they are really limiting my travel and use of the bump stops. Hope to get my other fox shocks on the front this summer. And see what it will do.

I'd like to run some in the rear as well when I get some extra $$.

Weld on allstar brackets with the same calipers you have on the front
I ground down the pads/caliper/bracket to sit closer to the axle and it clears both sets of my 15" wheels

Good to know! Thanks!

Down the road I may play with it. For now I only put like $30 into the drum setup to go through and put fresh springs and shoes in. So I'm not at a big loss.

Is that a 14sf?

It's a wagoneer Dana 44 but I would think it would still work
May require a little diferent bracket
But if I remember right I only spent $200 on brakes
That's front and rear with no cores

Dang not bad at all!

So you just bolt the caliper to the bracket and set it on the rotor and weld the bracket where it lands? Doesn't sound too bad.

All my fancy stainless spacers I had cut will go to waste now if I do that lol.

aa-mfg made me weld on brackets, paid something like $10 or $20 for them.

Go with generic braided -4 flex line, cheap and effective.

I had $60 into my brake swap (not counting pads/rotors/calipers... pulled them off a 10 bolt front)

Ya I paid like $18 a piece for brackets I think
And with the weld on you apply air to the caliper so it clamps to the rotor and self centers
It isn't exactly easy but works
