Nice build! I've been following this for a while and it's turning out really nice. I love the rear bumper! I should be meeting up with you in the sand shortly.

Really? It's 1.25" thick. I didn't think it was THAT crazy...

All the expensive crossover stuff you bought is more expensive
You could of spent that much on a Reid and some more budget parts
I spent less then 500 bucks on my whole high steer setup and that includes drag link and tie rod with 1 ton tres

I bought a kit from a respectable company that makes quality parts that can guarantee me it will work with my springs and suspension plans. I'll pay the extra I did for that. But I really don't think I'll have trouble with the regular flat tops and my monstrous 1.25" spacer. If I do shame on me.

I still did it the right way compared to alot of people that hack stuff in.

It's just that kit think I have a problem with
I don't like that word
I made all my own stuff
I even machined the knuckles

I'm not gonna try to hit the 1.5' tall whoop sections, but I'd like to go over chatter bumps etc at speed.

And I won't be doing any jumping until I have a full cage tied to the frame at alot of locations, and possibly a boxed frame.

The cage will do nothing to help keep the steering attached to the knuckle

I already said I can do hydro assist. What else do you want me to do? I'm not ditching the arm or spacer. I can weld the arm to the spacer and then tack it to the knuckle after tightening down the bolts..

Oh, ok. <sarcasm>Chatter bumps won't put any load on that steering arm. <end sarcasm>

Didn't seem to kill a buss full of nuns or anything with the steering arm on the other side... Why is it such a big difference now? I've see people run 3" steering arm spacers before and never sheer studs. And mine only measures 1.25" tall..

Yes you should definitely weld it all together
But make sure you put a big hot bead on it and cool it quickly
That would make it a bazillions times stronger

Good thing he got a "great" deal on those shocks, and the hydro assist idea is pure genius

I like this build. You will find out what works and what doesn't on your own, but its nice that others are pointing out every weak point for you
