Default nra concerns

Ok, let me first off say I believe in the NRA, and I would really like to join. I believe in our 2nd amendment and our constitution. I also believe that the government is doing everything in its power to disarm the American people.

I own quite a few firearms but to not have a concealed carry permit. I do not belong to facebook or twitter or any other media file sharing everybody look at me site.

I am concerned that (call me paranoid) the government keeps track of who is actually in the NRA and has a list of who is active in it.
I believe that when all this anti gun stuff is over with there will be a strategic door to door removal of weapons from the american people.
Why does 1 event seem to polarize the nation so quickly into giving up their freedoms? Could it have anything to do with the media and they way they hammer images and only partial facts into you? I am not blaming Obama for this. I believe that the whole damn government is in on it together.

So anyway, when they come to take my guns away, I guess I'll just be another dead "criminal" for not wanting to give up my god given right to defend myself. Kinda reminds me of my military oath... enemies both foreign and domestic. Can't think of a bigger enemy of freedom than our own government.

End of Rant

I agree with you on some of your points but just be advised... If you're a veteran you're already on a DHS list as a potential terrorist. They did that a few years ago.

Our government carries out the will of the people. It always has. The source of every issue the gov takes up has origins in the demands of the people, whether it is outcry from the latest headline, somebody gathering signatures because their kid got mutilated in a car accident and "they don't want it to happens to somebody else", etc... even if a company wants the rules twisted in their favor... guess who the company is? It's the people who work there, profit from it, purchase its products and services...

Be glad this isn't a true democracy. Firearms would have probably been full awn banned a long time ago.

Just because you don't agree with this administration doesn't mean "300,000,000" other people are on your side and 'its time to show the gov who they work for'

Think nancy pelosi is insane? Guess what? Her constituents think she is a wonderful public servant and that she does god's work.

Blah blah blah

funny you say that. U think you know what you want. The TV tells you what you want and you believe it. You say "I make my own decisions based on the information" and that is true. Funny how the evidence and information produced makes you respond in the exact manner as you are expected to.

I am not calling you out smasheromalley. I am saying if you heard the headline and that is all you heard, would you be as passionate about the information as you would be if you watched a few hours of it on the news?
Funny how the media picks and chooses the facts it decides to share with the rest of the world.

I agree that there are not 300 mil people who believe as I do. Hell most people are so caught up between republican vs democrat, gay marriage, abortion, gun control, what's on tv, gotta update my status, etc... no one is even really paying attention. Any why should they? It doesn't concern them and it is just a waste of time thinking or talking about it right?

I mean I am just pissed and concerned. I go to work, pay my taxes, try to abide by every friggin law that I know of and I am tired of never being able to get ahead.
The day is going to come when living on the government is going to be easier and more of a viable option than going to work. I fear that I will live to see that day too, but I am gonna keep pluggin along like a good soldier.

Fixed

The government doesn't care what the majority population wants/needs, they only care about keeping their "investors" happy, which includes a lot of people that are for gun bans; and some that are against it.

There are soon to be 5 million people that are NRA members. There will be no door to door confiscation, things will be made illegal over time, and those still in possession will then be criminals.

Join the NRA, and make a donation. They need money to fight for us.

Drone strike. Or , they'd execute a false flag attack and pin it on the pro gun crowd. Wait, that sounds familiar...

this ^^^^^^

Why is this so hard to understand? Why do you even have to be a gun owner to support our right to own guns?

Yup, I joined NRA under the free membership before I bought any guns, just got lazy and did not renew. Won't let that happen again...

As far as a database goes, if you are in Michigan the only way to *legally* stay out of a database is to only buy long guns from private parties, and it looks like that may change as well if some of Obie's EO's are supported.
