Pussification of America. I was driving through plymouth an hour ago...light rain and they're going off.

Eventually they're going to be where no one pays attention they use them so often.

Seemed like there could have been one close to Clawson, it was a monsoon here, trees and braches and power lines down here. There were rivers flowing down a lot of side streets.

Sirens going off again in Clawson, I'm scared!

I am wishing I had repaired the 4 holes in my garage roof yesterday instead of the stuff I actually did. Had a huge branch fall from a huge tree and just found the holy roof a few days ago.

Oakland county protocol now

quote from a local weather/ ham radio nerd

"Winds at 70mph.. or tornado.. First time today was for winds.. Second time was a county sheriff had a funnel cloud and the county set them off... Nothing todo with NWS as there is nothing.. not even rain on radar where the "funnel" was..."

Found 2 chairs in the pool and the hammock was about 20 ft from where it started.

Little garden gnome that was on table was thrown against my shed and broke him in half.

And how does a glass table top get thrown 20 ft and not break? It lands in a pile of dog poop is how, lol.

All of this was in the same general area and ended up against the shed and only the gnome broke, haha.

SHit went crazy for a half hour.

Especially after the tornado in Grand Rapids a couple weeks go with no sirens/warning if there's even a chance of one they'll be going on the side of caution.

power just came back on here. we had a hell of a storm blow through. lost power right as it started, and was sitting in the garage drinking a corona... then all of a sudden marble size + hail started falling and the wind got real crazy and saw some limbs start coming down so we hustled to the basement till it calmed down a little.

hailed for about 10 minutes pretty good. it was nailing the basement windows pretty hard. was a little concern of it breaking them. went for a drive into town for dinner (since we had no power) and limbs and trees down all over the place around here...

EDIT! as I typed that we just lost power again (about to go fire generator back up)...

My neighbors tree came down and blocked the road. It fell between two parked cars on opposite sides of the street, missing each one by less than 6". Got pretty lucky on that one.

my grandparents are finally getting their yard cleaned up. they lost every tree in their back yard. None touched the house or the pool, even the one in the 20' gap between them and their neighbors.

my power came back at 0130, and then went back off sometime in the night and then back on at 0430... hopefully it stays on this time.
