Contact Bruce @ Circle Auto in Freeland. He has built & helped build many AMC V8's. I know he has experience with stroking 401's & their machine shop has done a lot of AMC work.

I don't believe anybody makes a direct drop in stroked crankshaft for a 401. You would either have to offset the journals or have a custom crank made. I've seen some damn good running AMC's, but the problem is above. Not enough aftermarket for them, and it can get very expensive very quick. I haven't look in a while, but if you happen to find something, I'd be interested in hearing. My brother in law runs AMC stuff

I may contact Bruce the other guy suggested, at this point my crank was already turned 20 20 and it spun a rod bearing and that journal is worn and scared to 30 so the only way to use it would be to cut the rod journals down to 2.100 chevy size. So might as well offset it and buy chevy rods just having some trouble finding a the correct piston pin height piston.

I seen your crankshaft for sale and have been thinking about it, I have a friend with similar problem as my self but his is turned 30 on mains and need to be turned again so he need the new crank more than me. I tried to talk him into putting it in a 360 block that way you turn down the mains also. I will keep you in mind. Will you be going to West branch to any of the snow runs?
