The weather was awesome yesterday. Jumbotron screen playing the Super Bowl was impressive.

John's jeep is running awesome. He has had a couple issues to work through but nothing to keep us from wheeling. Yesterday we did some shakedown in the dune area and then Jess hit a hard bump & dislodged his fan, causing it to be damaged. We picked up a new fan and got it installed. In the mean time John discovered he had a bent bracket so he took it to Ruffstuff for a repair. They did a great job. We did some wandering around Hammertown while the repair was underway and then we headed out to run Spooners. John's jeep......... locked front and rear on 35's did great. Midway through Spooners John's alternator started making noise and working intermittently. Jess's power steering is acting up. So we will swap an alternator and power steering pum tomorrow morning. I managed to flop once but we got it upright with no issues. I took a few pics & will get some posted soon.

Everything is going reasonably well. Jesse hit a ledge too hard and put a slight bend in a couple of shock bolts, and took out his electric fan in the process. Luckily the autozone next to the hotel had one in stock.

I must have hit something too hard too because I found the upper link tower on the front axle was buckling. Luckily Ruff Stuff was able to patch it up for us.

After everything was patched up we went and ran Spooners. The trail was awesome and everybody did pretty well. About a third of the way up Jim put his jeep on its side, but no real damage.

By mid way up my alternator was starting to make some noise and only charging intermittently. By the time we made it to the top it was howling so we pulled my jeep back to camp instead of risking destroying the belt. We stopped by a couple of stores and no luck, but the napa, car quest, and alternator will be open in the morning.

Overall everything is going well. Jim has some pics that hopefully he can get uploaded.

Most of the big names are running at that time.

Live feed is fawking awesome this year. Multi camera's and everything. Best yet!

Seriously, POV camera mounted to lower control arms and everything. All broadcasting from the middle of nowhere

JHF started quick but broke something and called it DNF before he even got to the rocks. Bummer

Edit: Lost the trans. Hopefully he brought another since he's racing Thur and Fri.
