Most colleges have armed policemen on campus patrolling. I see no reason why young adults should have them but not kids. I do agree that armed guards will not stop all school violence but they would serve as a strong deterrent . Columbine had an armed guard during the Clinton assault rifle ban and kids were still murdered. There are reports that the presence of an armed guard at Columbine did buy many of the kids time to escape.

So, this is in a state where getting a gun is more difficult than average.

And in a federally legislated 'gun free zone'.

What about 'gun rich zones', like say.... a gun store. Anybody ever hear of someone walking in and killing someone in a gun store? (suicides don't count, unless they shot someone else first)

Somebody tried it at a Detroit station a while back. There should be an investigation to see if Brobama Bin Lyin is linked to these shootings.

A few months back someone walked into a Southfield police station and wounded a cop before being shot. It does happen but the situation is quickly handled because good people with guns (in this case cops) were able to stop it. I believe it was a hand gun he used.

Had he walked into a school and did the same thing it would have been another national tragedy.
