Default Hot Dogs and Spaghettios

Medium Temperature all the way through

Melt one spoonful of butter, then add 4 sliced hot dogs. Cook until browned on both sides.

Remove from heat, to prevent splatter. Then add one 26oz can of Spaghettios. Heat until simmering, stirring occasionally. Then let cool for 3-5 minutes. Enjoy

Total cost $1.32(Spaghettios) + $0.49 (4 Bars hot dogs) = $1.81

What other low cost, but good tasting meals are out there? Ramen noodles don't count and bonus points for one pan recipes.

Kill deer, cut out piece of meat, sprinkle canadian steak seasoning on it and top with slice of butter. Grill medium to low heat and cook to desired color. Eat.

Cost: $3.00 for bullet, $0.15 for portion of canadian steak, $0.15 slice of butter= $3.30, plus you get much more meat for other uses as well.

you will need to add the cost of all your hunting gear, including the gun, and divide by number of deer taken to come up with the cost of that deer...
and possibly many other items...

but definitely better

or just switch over to someone else's road kill

oatmeal is a pretty damned cheap meal. As is eggs and toast.

generic vanilla yogurt + random frozen mixed fruits and veggies, with two scoops of whey protein tossed into the vitamix (fancy expensive blender that lasts for decades) makes for a good 'tween meal smoothie as well. (toss an extra banana in and it will overpower almost any nasty vegetable - except asparagus, the power of asparagus flavor is amazing in it's ability to shrug off other flavors)

Cook one pound of hamburger, seasoning as desired. Drain off grease and add on large can of cambells speggetti. Heat to a simmer and season as desired. Cut up speggetti into small pieces with fork and knife, serve warm.
