Default 1990 ford f150 8.8 rear axle

I am wondering if the 1990 f150 with an 8.8 rear axle, is there any way to upgrade the drums to disc brakes using parts from an explorer?

the best way is to get a 97-03 f150 rear that is already discs and have the axles re-drilled to your 5x5.5 pattern. Thats how my buddy Jer did it in his old 79 F-150.
