Default Well they did it

I didnt think it was possible to build an uglier truck than the '97 f150, but they did.
The 2013 fx4 makes it not quite as bad, but the xlt chrome grill actually makes my eyes and face hurt. How is it possible to make a truck run and drive so nice, but be that ugly?

this was the nicest looking truck Ford built:

(It was tough finding a pic of a STOCK 56 F100)

This is the 2nd nicest looking, but I may be biased.

I had a 53 F100 way back when, still had the flathead V8.

The newer Ford F150's drive nice, and are comfortable and all that jazz, but I'm with you, I could never get past the looks of them ever since 1997, well and prior to that they were ok, I like square trucks, but the early 80's were puke, the late 70's were good though....but yeah, fords are pretty ugly.

How is this different. This looks like a current model with an upgraded grill and light combo.

With the pickups, I'm usually about one or two model years behind what I think looks right for a truck.

If I wanted a 1500 truck it would be a GM or Dodge, 2500 and up then Ford comes into play. The new f-150's look much like the superdutys, mucho upgrade from the 97 style, those were hideous. Even old men looked gay in them.

I dont care for the 97-03 Ford and the 09 and up ones. Same with the 09 and up 250/350s. I really dont like the Front end at all and I dont like the interior as well. IDK but it turns my stomach when I look at them

I have to literally set aside my z plan and go to the dodge and GM stores now.

One more thing: if you purposefully opt for the console shifter in your pickup, you are a homosexually gay homosexual.

I don't like all the chrome crap on the front end either, but some of the new ones are damn nice. One of my coworkers has a new F-150 FX4 crew cab, black, factory black wheels, factory dark dark gray side stripe, and tinted windows. Looks great and the ride and comfort are great too. Definitely a nice truck, but all the companies make some nice and some fugly at this point. I still just wish there were more offerings with solid front axles.

let's hope that their projector headlamps are more friendly to those of us who drive cars.

depending on year, ford trucks have the most glaring headlamps I typically come across

I haven't been a fan of the F150's looks since the 97+. That said I bought a 99 a couple years ago because it was a good truck and that's what I was using it as. I was looking at new 1/2 tons about a year ago and was in between the dodge and chevy.

The 06 Chevy 1/2 ton we have at work has about the most uncomfortable seats I've ever sat in, and I've owned AMC products.

Haven't had a Dodge yet that the front suspension didn't go to shit in 40,000 miles.

The rusty ass 89 F150 looked like crap from the outside, but behind the wheel it felt and drove like a new truck. Same for my 94 F150.

Not a Ford guy, more of a 'whatever does the job' guy.

I've always kind of leaned toward ford, I did contract work for them for years. Several family members worked in factories so i gots a/z plan for days. I drove the '13 with the v8, didn't even get to the ecoboost. The dam thing runs and rides GREAT. It's like they added the grill to be dicks. I mean that 3" wide plastic chrome ring that goes around and up onto the hood.... I can actually taste shit in my mouth when I look at it. It's fucking horrible
