Default being carded for purchasing propane

Since when do you get asked for your drivers license to purchase propane. I went to buy 2 small bottles for my buddy heater at TSC in imlay city. The lady at the register told me you had to be 21 to purchase. Not that im under 21 but just suprised they did. Walmart or meijers doesnt check.

I asked when they did it. She stated it was because it was flammable.

Bought candy bar from TSC a week ago. They carded me. Said it was because I could injure someone with it.

So I slapped the clerk with it.

They were right.

I was carded at Wal-Mart for buying JB Weld.

I asked the U-Scan clerk why this happened?

She then told me kids put vodka in tampons and stick them up their butts.

What does carding have to do with something being flammable?

I was not sensible at 21. I was drunk.

That said, sucks for all those 16 year olds.

At age 18 a person can take a bullet or kill someone all in the name of defending our country. He can fly a multi million dollar jet, operate a multi million dollar tank, be away from his family for months while he sleeps in a trench with bombs going off around him. He can watch his buddy get his legs blown off or die a slow death from a gut shot wound.

I maintain that for any person who is old enough to die for our country, they are old enough to purchase anything that an older person can purchase, including alcohol. I will NEVER vary from this arguement.

I know plenty of people who are "retired military" or even still active duty whom are not mature enough to handle themselves with alchohol. That said, I kind of agree.
