#6 is an ORV route...100% legal to be on any time of year...I ride that trail often, and I also know I don't own it...drive your jeep on it as much as you want, just be mindful of the sledders

once it snows the snowmobile guys think anything cover or not with snow is for them only, samething happens when once it melts all the ATV guys think its all for them. Everyone seems to forget we all pay to play on those same trials and thats why its all there. Just wish everyone would remember that while out there and be respectfull of ecah other and the trails

I would rather tell him to stay off there till he knows for sure it's legal. Also notice I said talk to someone else as I wasn't 100 percent on it. Pissed of riders suck. Been there done that.

You're dumb. If you have no clue what you are talking about. Don't try to talk about it.

the "common sense" rule is if we pay money to groom it stay off of it.
all other trails/routes/roads are yours to drive, sleds can go around you.

if its groomed dont mess it up.
there is no reason to go on groomed trail up there.
there are plenty of forest roads that are not groomed.
non-groomed forest roads will be much more fun wheel on anyway.
groomed trail is too easy.
some local pissed off sledder will see your jeep at some resturant or gas station and fukc with it.

be smart, hit the back roads.
legality has little to do with it.

Like I said, it can be a question of morals. I see your point. But, here is another point. And, it's not my case, right now. But it's a valid issue that I think of when I hear your point of view on this.

I'm part of a club, that is part of GLFWDA. We do trail maintenance on a few ORV routes. I take time, energy, and resources to make sure I get to the DNR trainings on trail maint, and work with the other members in my club to be sure we get our maint done twice a year, like the DNR expects us to do. Again on my own time and resources. I know how the whole grant system works. But, being the sole group that takes care of the signs and maint of orv routes, should I not be able to use them in the snowy season? It's typically the best time of the year for snow wheeling! LOL

I don't post that to say I'm in the right. Just say'in, there is another side to the argument. I feel if I work my ass off for days to keep up on the maint of orv routes, I would be pissed if I was denied their use. But, I do tend to try and stay off them if they are groomed. I don't think Snowmobilers have the same attitude as I do.

So if it's groomed I shouldn't use it. Snowmobile clubs are granted to groom X amount of miles. You would probably be surprised to learn that not all of the miles each club grooms are on Marked snowmobile trails.. They can actually request money to groom trails that are not marked on a map. There is one trail in the area that 8PTBUCK was in that is a marked ORV route and ONLY a marked ORV route. It's not a dual marked trail. However the local club has been known to run their groomer down it. Now this particular route is the responsibility of my club.. In fact, I with the help of indy and his wife and my girlfriend spent a weekend brushing and putting every sign up on this trail when it was added to the ORV system.

That sucks I can't use it now because it's groomed.

I'm with Shawn and Kixx on this. I don't plan to spend much time on groomed trails and frankly I find it a bit retarded if a jeeper wants to, but I also think it's BS if snowmobilers think those trails belong to them. It's eve more BS to make excuses for them about if they fukc with my rig. My rig may just drive over your sled leaving the bar if you touched it. I have the right too if you left those groomed trails and rode on "my" trails right?

It is courteous to avoid driving like an idiot around sleds and especially on groomed trails. Although if you don't drive like a mad man I doubt driving once down a groomed trail is going to destroy it what so ever. Sleds have a right to use the Orv trails but if it's a seasonal road or an Orv route we have the same right.

Anyways looks boring Joe where's the true wheeling pics?

I got sideswiped by some moron flying through a corner somewhere between Atlanta and Aplena years ago. I think I was actually getting ready to cross M-32 just east of Lachine. Anyways they guy I was riding with chased the guy down. I thought the guy on the other sled might be dead by the time I caught up with them. He claimed he didn't know he hit me, he apparently didn't notice the damage to his sled either. Some people just don't get it.

one of the main reasons I go riding during the week and not the week end...too many people like the ones on the videos that think they have skill because the can push a throttle level
