Default I have some questions......86 Polaris Indy Trail

So, I picked this thing up from a member on here three years ago, and it has been fun for going across the lake, and letting the kids ride around the yard. However, I have never done anything to it besides stabil it for the summer. Well, I was looking at it tonight, and realized it needs some things done.

It needs new skis, as the ones that are on it need some help. Are there any other years that will work on it?

Same question with the hood and windshield. Both are cracked.

What should I be looking at to do a tune up on it? It always starts after a couple of pulls. Anything that I need to check/grease on it?

I am not opposed to putting a little money into it, so that it can get used for a couple of more years out of it. I know that I will never do any serious trail riding on it, but it might be fun to take up north when we go to our friend's cabin in Fredrick and ride around a little.

Thanks for any advice or links that you could point me to.

It looks a little like this:
2000 XJ with a 3 inch body lift

any ski from any model polaris should work...from the wedge chassis for sure. You need to grease the jack shaft and clutch shaft bearings, suspension points, and steering. There is no tune up other thatn cleaning the carbs and changing the plugs. You could make sure the oil injection pump isn't dumping too much oil...other than that, run it
