Default Browning Hi-power 9mm

I have a chance to pick one up in really good condition for a good price.

Opinion? Worth buying?

I love Browning High powers I have two of them in 9mm. Great shooters. I also had one in .40 cal didn't care for it. But I hate the .40 cal so that might have had something to do with it. LOL

Yup, just trying to see what he's paying for what year / model it is and what to look out for. From a former responsibility you could say I'm intimately familliar with the FN / Browning Hi Power. Fine firearm.

Don't know all the details yet. The basic question was aimed at seeing if it was worth looking at. The seller is a widow of a guy who is "said" to be a collector of nice firearms. It's one of the inventory list. She told me that she would give good prices to people she knows.

So, now that I have some feedback, I'll be sure to look at it after the holidays. I'll report back. Thanks.

Well I missed out on it. Turns out her husband had given it to his best friend before he died. She didn't know because it was still on his inventory list.

I have one and love it. Manufactured in 1974 and bought new by my dad, year I was born. Sold in 1977 when lil sis was born. He told me stories about the pistol and how much he loved it but needed the money when she was born, kid number 3. I was approached in 2000 after my father passed away and a guy I new now had it and let me buy it from him for $500.00 dollars which of course I jumped on. Its stainless steel, polished upper/brushed lower adjustable sights, original pachymer sp? grips and 6 mags. One of the few guns I own that i'll never sell. Great shooter and extremely accurate.

You get a chance....grab one!

I sold two in the last sixty days on Gunbroker. There is a guy that bids ninehundred dollars on every forged frame Hipower. He parts them out and sells the frame to Novak I believe.
Here's the two I sold.
