Default trying to find a solenoid for a piece of equipment

the sticker on it says

41s-12v-er
269 640 41
14/2005

cant find one at any parts stores. it is for an old sellick, basically an old school skytrack. it has a ford diesel engine in it. my googling skills suck and i can find anybody that sells them. thanks for the help

Automotive aftermarket doesn't have good availability for solenoids. Your best bet is to find a place that rebuild starters and alternators.

No it mechanically pulls the bendix into the flywheel.

I thought the same thing.

You might check out the Delco Remy 41MT starter, says it is for a Diesel. I suspect the 41 is somehow connected to a size, and the S may designate it as the Solenoid. Just a long shot for sure, but may put you on the right track.

you may be able to pull it apart and clean the contacts or try floids electric on clay ave just south of 36th st.
