Large Fish Bowl or aquarium

It's starting to get cold out and I'm feeling guilty that our feeder gold fish are out shivering in our pond. Looking for a free or cheap fish bowl or aquarium that they can call home for the winter. I don't think I need all the stuff that goes with an aquarium, just the aquarium itself.

TIA, two of these fish actually survived the winter last year in the pond and the other 9 have held their own all summer so I'm kinda attached. Besides, I figure this is easier than making Chris figure out a way to keep the water from freezing in the pond :tonka:

if you don't find a tank go to Tractor Supply and get a floating watering trouth heater there like $20 or so it works great

gold fish are carp! they will survive just short of being frozen solid. I really think they will be fine if the water is more then 24" deep

thanks for the info. Our pond is really like a mud puddle; it's only about 18 inches deep if that. Last year they must have found a spot among the rocks that didn't freeze as we were shocked when they were swimming around this spring. I just figure my luck can't be that good that it would happen again.

prolly will do the trough heater thing since that would solve the problem (now watch them get zapped....fried fish anyone??)

sweet! My lovely feeder fish are worth about $30 to me. Of course, now they will probably become lunch to some bird of prey over the winter or their home will become the local watering hole for the deer. Oh well, maybe I can get a grant from the DNR as a wildlife preserve or something :tonka:
