Tinfoil Hats Unite!

I'm thinking I should get a gun while I can. Gotta have something to clean when my baby girl's Boyfriend comes a knocking.

I said I would doubt that our military would be willing to go door to door to collect guns. His reaction; "he is our commander in chief and if that's what he orders us to do, that's what we'll do". I am afraid that many of our military and LEO folks will put their sworn duty to serve in front of common sense.

It scares the hell out of me.
i have several family members who are in the armed forces and some friends that are in law enforcement and we have talked about this and they would have no part in going door to door. and u might think im fooling myself but im willing to do what ever it takes to stand up for what i believe in and even if my death was a waste it would be better than just doing nothing but thats my feelings and it might not be the way everyone feels i just hope im not alone in that stand lol.

and THEY all have access to assault weapons, gernades, etc and i have never ever heard of someone in law enforcement or the military using them to go on a rampage like the wackjob in Conn.

has anyone heard about one of these mass killer types being affilliated with the NRA, being licensed to carry and so on?

we need to spend more time and $ identifying and treating the so called mentally ill.

but no, we appreciate diveristy and identifying them would be discrimination.

I retract my previous statements. As this continues the whole thing is taking a much different tone than the others before it.

I honestly think it's gonna happen.

guns are not the prob people are. they havent taken away cars yet but look how many drunk drivers kill people every year compared to guns. it amazes me how people react to one thing and not another. i am just glad more and more people are buying them and getting involved in the hobby cause it will make it that much harder to get rid of them. im keeping my hopes up

The media machine is spooling up. The usual CNN/MSNBC (aka DNC PR office) talking heads spouted nonsence like "banning", "off the streets", and "confiscation", while the remainder of the MSM started the disinformation campaign.

I findi it disturbing that the media all keep citing that "U.S. lawmakers haven't passed a major new gun law since 1994".

I mean that every story - even ones about the NRA Fcebook page being offline - mention that statistic.

I'm wandering into foil hat territory here, but it's disconcerting that differnet writers from different sources all keep making that same observation, with virtually the exact same wording.

None say that "gun technology hasn't changed much since 1994, so new laws weren't needed" or "people largely the same as in 1994", just emphasizing that we're apparently due for more laws, since none have been passed since 94.

Sounds way too much like they're all working off the same talking points document, setting the "tone"...

They're gonna make a run at it, and several NRA "A" rated politicos have already signed up to help make it happen.

I dont think guns need to be banned but some things need to change. Just today I was in Taylor tucky topgun gun store and some inbread WT that looked to be 17 years old was with his knocked up prego GF. He said he wanted his GF to buy a gun for him as a gift. They said you cant do that and he left. So obviously he has some charge against him to not let him get a firearm and he wants his GF to buy it for him.....which is a felony. Now im sure he will now have his GF go to another gun store without him and she will buy the gun and he will end up with it. They need to have more thorough background checks....maybe they need to implement PPs for selling long guns used!? There are to many people with mental illnesses out there that dont need to have the ability to have guns in there possesion. The Gov. needs to figure out how to regulate that. Banning guns, high capacity mags, and ARs is not going to fix the issue. People will just use knives, bats, rocks or bombs to commit crimes.

Cool story bro.

More likely, he will go to the local meth dealer who will hook him up with a dude that knows a guy that can get a gun no questions asked.

Hookers and cocaine are both illegal, but I bet I can get both in under an hour, and I don't even run in those circles. Hell, I bet the hooker can bring the cocaine and a gun.

Hell, you can get the hooker off a public website and to your door in less than an hour.

I was reading the USA Today at my hotel during dinner. The amount of misinformation was staggering. From high capacity clips, to assault weapons including semiautomatic guns, to the .223 round being one of the most powerful rounds, etc.

Not too sure how I got through it all. I will say that the articles focused on nothing but the guns, gun laws, and support for more gun laws. I know this is just the media machine spinning, but I really have a feeling legislation is going to come down so the current administration can claim they did something. We all know it won't be effective, but that won't matter since no one is actually fucking held accountable for the actions they take in this society.

I havent seen this covered yet, forgive me if I missed it, but does any body know when is the earliest a ban could be pushed through? I understand our ruling class is on vacation now so that may add some delay. Do we have weeks, months before a decision is made on this?
