Question Come this January I will start packing heat! Opinions please.

Mainly for when I'm with the wife at outdoor malls, walking my dog, and snowboarding.

Zippo. I use the chemical hand warmers hunting and they do alright, but I plan to upgrade to the Zippo myself here soon because there's days that the chemical ones can't keep up with the cold.

disposable hand warmers. Get the hands and ones for feet. They last 8 hours and are really cheap

When I was young I used to have these chemical heaters in a very durable plastic bag. There was a metal token you bend, which would have a chemical reaction the liquid it was it. It would slowly turn white, and get very warm. Then, to re-use, you boil it up and let it cool.

Sure wish I had them now.

I bought one of these this year and it kicks ass, Damn warm without even turning it on. Has both heated pockets and core heat settings.

They even come in Bacon pocket style,

I used to work at a car wash. Drying cars in gloves was nearly impossible to do effective because you couldn't get a good grip on the towels, and it was hard to handle money (same went with selling). I don't think you can get hands much colder without getting frostbite.

With that said and personal experience, Zippo.

Mine ran about $150, on sale.

I mostly bought it for hunting and sporting events, got it in black figuring I'd wear it more often then I would the red one. Should keep me nice and warm for winter beer fest this year.
