How long have you had it? I wonder how long it will take me to get complacent if I get a new Jeep.

You would probably come out ahead to keep it, I know if I sell a toy it takes way to long to get a new one the way I want it.

I've toggled back and forth with it. A buggy will definitely out perform my jeep but not by a tremendous amount. When the weather is perfect, a buggy is great. When the weather is not perfect, a jeep is more versatile. I like the ability to run a full top, full doors, heat and wipers turned on and 15 minutes worth of work allows me to run with no top or doors. Winter runs and spring/fall runs in the rain are much more comfortable in a full body rig.

How much are you planning to go out of state? There's not much in Michigan to justify a buggy. On the other hand, a buggy can handle a lot more abuse with little damage. My jeep body is trashed from running it hard.

Make a list and compare.

I was in the same boat. I decided to keep the ZJ till the flat fender is finished. It'll basically be a buggy with a body and the ability to run a top and doors.

If you are thinking of selling the Jeep to immediatly buy a built buggy that'd be a different story. If that were the case I completely agree with Jim.

I've tossed around the idea of selling my jeep and getting brand new Then I look at the new price tag, realize my jeep can go more places than a new stock one, and I don't sweat dents and scratches.

For one, dont make your decision until after December 29th. For two, I would encourage you to go the other way, less capable rig. I have been having way too much fun in my TJ that is almost stock. Buggys are over rated :)
