It depends on how complete it is, if it is stock, if it's been rusting under a tree for 30 years or just came out of a running & driving rig, if it's bent, kingpin or balljoint, etc etc

So that range seems fair.

I had been trying to understand this as well. From what I understand - the ones with 4.10 gears are higher $$ due to being a decent gear ratio. Then apparently the 78/79 have a longer short side tube, making coil buckets and whatnot easier to attach - ultimately easier than other years to put under a small Jeep.

I had saw a couple 60's around the $500 mark and for a moment was thinking very seriously about an upgrade. Then I realized I rarely wheel.

I paid 300 for my 60 as well as a lot of others i know. It starts with knowing what you want and knowing the right people at the right time. Sometimes it just takes sitting at the junkyard over night in a tent to get in line for that one kingpin 60 that goes for $100... bastard.

This.

To me the real bargain seems to be the 99+ super duty 60's.....they are considered inferior by many so you can pick them up dirt cheap.....this is where i'm headed.

Geesh, I haven't found anywhere around me selling at those prices! If somebody found me a 78/79 with 4.10's and not clapped out for $500, I'd pay a finders fee!

I have a balljoint 60 Im just going to run on the top side of the knuckle mount rather than the bottom side. I think Rockcrusher makes arms that you can drill and tap the knuckle.
