97 Jeep Wrangler - $2900 obo *SOLD*
I have a 97 Wrangler with a 4 cyl. 5-speed manual. Mileage is 160k. It runs and drives good just as it is now, but will need some TLC to be 100%. Wheels are 15x8 Jeep Canyon's with 31x10.50x15 BFG All-Terrian KO's with minimal tread life left. Axles are your standard Dana 30/35 with 4:10 gears. Exterior is in good shape with some rust (tops of fenders, surface spot on each half door, and one spot showing below the license plate holder). Interior is in decent shape with some wear/tear on the driver's seat. Carpet could use a good steam cleaning. The good: the soft top is about 1yr old, it drives nicely, the clutch/brakes feel good, etc. The bad: when you shift into 5th gear it feels like it goes into neutral. I've done some research on it and it appears a .20 retaining clip that holds 5th gear in place on the shaft in the trans is common for breaking. I believe this is what it needs to fix it. There is NO other grinding, popping, etc. with the trans. Also, the valve cover leaks and the exhaust manifold appears to be cracked (loud). The floor all seems very solid but the driver's floor needs some work due to rust. I'm listing everything I can remember about this Jeep and trying to be as honest as I can. It runs very well for a 4cyl. Asking $2900 obo. Located in Clarkston, Mi 48346. Call 248-535-6057
