Default 14ff vs 60?

I am currently running a 60-2 rear end in my ranger. Spool, 5.13s etc. Now it has 35 spline shafts, but being it is the 60-2, it has thinner tubes. I plan on building a 351 stroker for the truck here in a month or so. Would it be worth upgrading to a 14 bolt?

I wouldn' t upgrade unless you have broken the 60 already.

I spun the tubes on my 60 running stock shafts, 5.13s, Detroit, 36" TSL. Maybe just add a truss?

Good deal. Thanks guys. Plans are to go to 40s possibly in the future, so I just want to be prepared. Engine should be ~450-500 horse. I just want to make sure im all set before I get it together and I trash the rear end in 10 minutes..

If you only had the 60 with no $ put into it, I'd tell you to go get a 14B. Since you already have the 60 geared and locked, I'd do the above and run it. You already spent the money once, might as well use it.

My advice . I've learned my lesson

I only built a D35 TTB, D44 Narrow, D44 FullWidth, before Finally building a 60. Not including rear axles .
